sensory overload
An original digital illustration commissioned by Design Room, to support their series of editorial pieces covering music video games and their histories; with interviews conducted between Design Room personnel, and key figures with first-hand experience in the development.
Each game covered in the Sensory Overload series has their own unique way of exploring the relationship between the player and sound. For the supporting illustration: my goal was to incorporate as much as I could from all of the games featured, but also give each title room to shine. Foundations are established using solid white geometry; and elements such as characters, particle effects, and environments are either contained or placed over; with vibrant coloring throughout for a rich visual experience.
